It’s amazing what you can uncover by digging through a slat barn every once in a while. Every so often, you find that one which separates themself and simply tells the story “I’m for real”.  Something is just different!  Pretty confident that’s exactly our thoughts after pulling this creature out of a dungeon where Max had him hid out just east of the Mississippi River.

Yes, the Duroc breed is known for hogs that will keep their head in the feeder all day, and ROCK HARD certainly checks that box. But his real testament is found when you study his body and rib shape. We haven’t seen them all—but we can honestly say we have not seen another red boar that opens up like this one.
