I know I was in the small minority of people that ever thought TRIPOD was one of the best Hampshire Boars ever born on the Hill at HH. Therefore, I was super excited  to stumble across this great son the Lewis Kids had made. I had heard about how good the sisters was to this boar and I was aware of the run the Lewis crew had accomplished dominating Hampshire show rings with Jr. Gilts and Boars. After making a trip to Center Point and visiting with the A.J. we made a deal to bring this guy to Savage. It didn’t take long for EAT N CROW to become a main piece to our breeding program. On paper his pedigree is intriguing, as well as perfect for our daughters of Hands Down and Sweet Lookin. In the first crop he sired at SAVAGE, we made the Champion Boar at the ‘24 NSR Summer Conference which sold to PBG, they call ARROWHEAD. We was honored to have raised such a powerful boar that was praised by multiple Hampshire and non Hampshire breeders at the show, along from those who attended the PBG OPEN HOUSE. Yet, it’s the daughters he produces that makes us the most satisfied. EAT N CROW sired the Res. Overall Supreme Hampshire Gilt at the Oklahoma State Fair and the Iowa State Fair.  EAT N CROW is a boar that has the ability to make Boars, Barrows and build a sow herd. 

Eat N Crow sires pigs that have a huge round rib, a powerful chest floor, big bones and will add the skeletal width so many Hampshire pigs need. Although we lost him way sooner than we intended, thankfully there’s straws frozen that will allow to carry on the impact he created. Truly feel he is without question one of the very best TRIPOD sons to make better Hampshire sows!

-EAT N CROW sired the popular 2024 Champion Hampshire Boar, ARROWHEAD standing at PBG.

-The Champion Hampshire Gilt at the 2025 EXPOSITION for the Grinstead Family went on to become the Top Selling Gilt was sired by EAT N CROW. 

-The Res. Champion Hampshire Gilt at the 2025 NSR Summer Type conference was exhibited and sold by the Schmaling Family, Iowa. was sired by EAT N CROW.  

-The 3rd Overall Hampshire Barrow at ‘25 Team Purebred Show was sired by EAT N CROW.
